About Us

Igbomina Descendants Association (UK) was formed by indigene of Igbominaland in United Kingdom who had a vision of a social, political and economic association of Igbomina indigene in UK. The first ever meeting of the association was held with 8 members on 28 October 1990.

IDA is established to:

To provide a forum for the deliberation and discussion of issues that affects the welfare and wellbeing of all members and indeed of our motherland
To provide an avenue for the execution of our charitable objectives
To promote opportunities to facilitate economic, political, cultural and social interaction among all Igbomina descendants living in the UK, in Nigeria and indeed world-wide
To enable the social integration and education of our children in accordance with our traditional ethics and customs
To show interest and participate in any activity that will enhance the reputation of the Igbomina people
To protect and promote the interest of members, where such interest is in consonance with the aims of the association.
To commission projects for the benefits of our indigenous motherland.
